VERSES, Analog announce smart city initiative in Abu Dhabi

emirates7 - VERSES AI Inc., a cognitive computing company specializing in next-generation intelligent systems, has announced the launch of its first joint smart city project with Analog, an edge computing company focused on seamlessly connecting people, places, and things through smart sensors and mixed reality devices. This project aims to simulate taxi fleet management in Abu Dhabi.

Using VERSES' Genius platform, the project seeks to optimize fleet operations while reducing congestion and emissions.

Gabriel René, CEO of VERSES, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with Analog, stating that Genius is well-suited for smart city environments involving multiple stakeholders with diverse systems and real-time data. The goal is to equip Analog with tools to unify data from various sources, allowing Genius agents to continuously generate insights and recommendations that enhance efficiency and cost savings for fleet operators.

Analog’s Founder and CEO, Alex Kipman, noted that their vision of AI-powered edge computing aligns with VERSES' mission of creating a smarter world. Kipman highlighted that the project reflects Abu Dhabi’s dedication to leveraging advanced technology for societal benefits, and anticipated a series of smart city projects that would tackle challenges in areas such as mobility, healthcare, and energy, contributing to a more connected and sustainable future.

This pilot project marks the beginning of a broader collaboration between VERSES and Analog, both funded by G42, in Abu Dhabi. VERSES expects to generate around $3 million in revenue from this project, with future initiatives planned in key sectors like smart mobility, healthcare, and energy, in partnership with UAE industry stakeholders.
