UAE, Russia discuss judicial, legal cooperation

emirates7 - Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, held a meeting with Igor Krasnov, Prosecutor-General of the Russian Federation, to discuss enhancing collaboration in judicial and legal matters, as well as other shared areas of interest.

Their talks focused on strengthening the implementation of existing bilateral agreements related to extradition and mutual legal assistance in criminal cases—particularly in combating transnational organized crime, financial offenses, and terrorism financing.

The meeting took place at the Ministry of Justice headquarters in Abu Dhabi, where the Minister welcomed the Russian delegation and highlighted the robust ties between the UAE and Russia. He emphasized that these relations reflect the commitment of both countries’ leaderships to deepening cooperation that serves their mutual goals.

Prosecutor-General Krasnov expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and praised the expanding legal and judicial collaboration between the two nations, noting its growing benefits for both sides.

In attendance were Mubarak Ali Abdullah Al Neyadi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Justice; Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Sultan Essa Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to Russia; Timur Zabirov, Russian Ambassador to the UAE; and several officials from both delegations.
