WGES 2025 will gather high-level local and international leaders, including officials, policymakers, experts, academics, and representatives from both government entities and various organisations. The summit aims to foster actionable solutions that support a swift and equitable transition towards a global green economy, while also making real progress in the journey toward net zero emissions.
“Since it began in 2014, the World Green Economy Summit has served as a prominent platform for addressing crucial topics such as climate action, sustainability, and green finance. It has played a significant role in uniting global efforts, encouraging dialogue, and supporting international cooperation in the green economy. It has also helped shape and advance strategies and policies aimed at meeting collective climate objectives. The 11th edition will build on these achievements by continuing to promote collaboration that supports both economic growth and environmental preservation, solidifying Dubai and the UAE’s leadership in global climate initiatives,” said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, MD & CEO of DEWA, and Chairman of WGEO.
The 2025 summit will spotlight several core areas, including innovation and technology, clean and renewable energy solutions, green finance, climate equity, adaptation and resilience, relevant policies and regulations, and the active role of youth in climate action.
