emirates7 - The UAE Judo Federation has announced that several of the world's top national teams will take part in the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Judo tournament, set to be held at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi from 10th to 13th October.
In a press statement on Tuesday, the federation shared that many teams that recently competed in the Paris 2024 Olympics, such as France, Britain, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Moldova, and Mongolia, will participate in the event. Teams from Lebanon and the Republic of Congo will also compete.
The UAE judo team is gearing up for the tournament with a domestic training camp in Abu Dhabi, incorporating swimming, running, and weightlifting sessions. This will be followed by the second phase of their preparation at Tokai University in Japan during the final week of September.
