emirates7 - France's central bank, Banque de France (BdF), announced on Wednesday a downward revision of its GDP growth forecast for 2025, lowering it to 0.7 percent for the entire year.
Following a slight economic slowdown at the end of 2024, the country's GDP is projected to expand at a modest pace in the first half of 2025 before gaining momentum later in the year, according to the BdF.
"For 2025 as a whole, economic activity is expected to decelerate, but growth will remain positive, with an annual average rate of 0.7 percent, compared to 1.1 percent in 2024," the central bank stated.
In its previous forecast, published in December 2024, the BdF had anticipated a GDP growth rate of 1.1 percent for 2025.
