Hazy, dusty skies and scorching temperatures

emirates7 - The UAE remains in the grip of peak summer, with intense heat and hazy conditions prevailing across much of the country.

AccuWeather reports that Dubai will see highs of 40°C today under hazy, sunny skies, easing tonight to 32°C with partly cloudy conditions. By this morning, temperatures had already reached 33°C, though it felt closer to 36°C. From Thursday morning until late Thursday night, dusty weather is expected, potentially affecting visibility and air quality.

In Abu Dhabi, temperatures will climb even higher, hitting 42°C under mostly sunny skies, before dropping to 31°C overnight with clear conditions. The current temperature is 33°C, but the real-feel stands at 39°C. Dust is also forecast to linger in the capital through Thursday night.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), weather will generally be fair to partly cloudy, especially in the east. Inland areas could see temperatures between 42°C and 47°C, coastal regions and islands between 40°C and 44°C, and mountainous regions a milder 32°C to 37°C.

The highest temperature on Tuesday was a scorching 47.3°C, recorded at 3:45 pm in Jazeera B.G., Al Dhafra region, according to NCM data.

Winds will range from light to moderate, blowing southeast to northwest at speeds of 10–25 km/h, occasionally reaching 35 km/h. The Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will remain slight to moderate in wave height.

Authorities continue to advise residents and visitors to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak hours, and take precautions during periods of blowing dust.
