emirates7 - China's road logistics price index saw a modest rise in November, fueled by a sustained recovery in market demand and an increase in road transport capacity, according to industry data released Wednesday.
China Central Television (CCTV), citing the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP), reported that the index reached 104.6 in November, marking a 0.75% year-on-year increase.
The sub-index for full-truckload logistics, which primarily monitors the transportation of bulk commodities and regional goods, rose by 1.01% compared to the same period last year, hitting 105, the data revealed.
The CFLP attributed the index’s growth to improved economic performance in November, bolstered by the positive impact of both existing and newly introduced policies. These factors supported the recovery in market demand, while encouraging greater participation from freight operators and drivers, which led to an expansion in transport capacity, the federation added.
