These preparations also aim to facilitate smooth traffic flow around schools for all types of transport, including pedestrians, school buses, public transport, and private vehicles.
These steps are part of Abu Dhabi Mobility's efforts to enhance road safety, align with the leadership’s vision of improving quality of life, and make Abu Dhabi a safer community.
According to recent statistics, the Salama system manages 8,568 buses and 8,752 drivers with the support of 10,134 supervisors, through 206 operators.
The system serves a total of 672 schools, including 204 public schools, 215 private schools, 213 nurseries, 38 charter schools, and 2 centers for people of determination.
The number of students using the Salama school transport system has reached 237,111, and the Salama app has been downloaded by parents over 30,000 times.
