emirates7 - The Emirates Racing Authority (ERA) has unveiled the official schedule for the 2025–2026 UAE horse racing season, set to commence on 25th October 2025 at Abu Dhabi Turf Club.
This season continues to reflect the UAE’s dedication to elevating the sport’s global competitiveness, offering a distinguished lineup of races for both Thoroughbred and Purebred Arabian horses.
Following the achievements of past seasons, the new calendar reaffirms the UAE’s reputation as a leading destination in the international horse racing arena, supported by top-tier organization and strong leadership backing.
The 2025–2026 season will feature a total of 64 race meetings across five major venues: 16 at Abu Dhabi Turf Club, 14 at Al Ain Racecourse, 11 at Jebel Ali Racecourse, 6 at Sharjah Racecourse, and 16 at Meydan Racecourse. The season will culminate with the prestigious Dubai World Cup on 28th March 2026.
The season opener will take place on Saturday, 25th October at Abu Dhabi Turf Club, followed by race meetings at Jebel Ali on 1st November, Meydan on 7th November, Al Ain on 9th November, and Sharjah on 16th November.
Abu Dhabi Turf Club will once again play a central role, hosting top-tier events such as the UAE President Cup—one of the most esteemed races for Purebred Arabians, drawing top owners and jockeys from around the world. Meydan remains the UAE’s premier racing venue and will host the grand finale: the Dubai World Cup, the richest and most awaited event on the global racing calendar.
Sharjah Racecourse will stage several high-profile races, including the H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah Cup, GCC Cup, H.H. Sharjah Crown Prince Cup, and the H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Cup—the opening leg of the Emirates Sprint Series.
Al Ain Racecourse will host notable events such as the Al Ain Mile and races from the Marathon Series, while Jebel Ali Racecourse will feature key races like the Jebel Ali Mile, Jebel Ali Sprint, and Jebel Ali Stakes.
