emirates7 - The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) has received a generous donation from the Sultan of the Dawoodi Bohra community in support of its endowment initiative, Prophet’s Neighbours, which aims to secure sustainable resources for the care and empowerment of orphans.
This act of giving aligns with wider community-driven efforts to promote humanitarian values and social solidarity.
The contribution reflects the Dawoodi Bohra community’s consistent dedication to global charitable initiatives and its strong partnership with humanitarian organizations in the UAE. It also supports the country’s leadership vision of empowering all segments of society and fostering a stable future for generations to come.
On this occasion, Mona bin Hadha Al Suwaidi, Director-General of SSEF, extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to the Sultan for this meaningful gesture. She highlighted that the donation significantly contributes to the long-term financial sustainability of endowment projects benefiting orphans and their families.
She stated, “The Prophet’s Neighbours endowment project is a true representation of the compassion and solidarity taught by our Noble Prophet—peace be upon him. At the Foundation, we take pride in this partnership, which transforms humanitarian values into real initiatives that help build a dignified life for children who have lost parental care.”
Al Suwaidi noted that the donated funds will be directed toward specific endowment needs, including comprehensive support services such as education for orphaned students, healthcare, basic living expenses, home repair, vocational training, and psychological and social care.
In addition, the funds will offer urgent support to widows, helping improve their living conditions and providing them and their children with equal opportunities for a dignified, empowered, and socially integrated life.
