emirates7 - UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone conversation today with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

During the call, Sheikh Mohamed conveyed the UAE’s solidarity with Qatar and affirmed its full support in the wake of the Iranian attack on Al Udeid Airbase within Qatari territory.

He inquired about the situation in Qatar and the wellbeing of its citizens, reiterating the UAE’s strong condemnation of the attack and backing Qatar’s right to take any necessary steps to protect its sovereignty, security, and public safety.

The discussion also covered the recently announced ceasefire between Iran and Israel. Sheikh Mohamed expressed hope that the agreement would contribute to greater peace, stability, and security throughout the Middle East.

He also commended Sheikh Tamim’s role in facilitating the agreement and emphasized the need for continued coordination and collaboration to ensure its effective implementation.

In response, Sheikh Tamim thanked the UAE President for his kind words and concern for Qatar and its people, and expressed gratitude for the UAE’s solidarity and support.
