emirates7 - Dubai International Airport (DXB) has retained its top spot as the leading airport in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East region according to the ACI’s 2024 Air Connectivity Ranking.
Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports, commented on the accomplishment, saying, “Connectivity is essential to maintaining relevance in global aviation, and we’re proud that Dubai International has once again been recognised as the region’s premier hub in ACI’s 2024 ranking.”
He highlighted that what distinguishes DXB is not just the size of its network, but also the reliability and quality of its connections.
Currently, the airport connects more than 265 destinations across six continents, playing a key role in supporting global trade, tourism, and sustainable economic growth.
Griffiths added, “High connectivity matters only if it’s delivered efficiently. Our advantage is in combining wide reach with smooth operations, providing fast, seamless, and secure travel experiences to tens of millions of passengers annually.”
He further noted, “This award represents the collective ‘oneDXB’ spirit—a unified effort among our airline partners, airport stakeholders, and the city of Dubai. Together, we’re building a model of connectivity that is agile, customer-centric, and economically impactful, not just regionally, but globally.”
