emirates7 - The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) is hosting a four-day training course titled "Insurance Kit – Customer Happiness" from April 21st to 24th at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The aim of the course is to improve knowledge, experience, and collaboration among pension authorities in the GCC region.
This training is part of an initiative proposed by the GCC's Permanent Technical Committee for Civil Retirement and Social Security Authorities, which was approved at the 21st meeting of the heads of civil retirement and social insurance agencies in the GCC.
Organized for members of civil retirement and social insurance bodies, the course provides a platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging expertise, and exploring best practices in the fields of insurance and social security.
More than 30 delegates from pension and social security authorities across Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE are taking part in the training.
The sessions aim to improve both technical and administrative skills, providing opportunities to discuss future challenges and foster professional connections that will enhance collaboration between GCC pension institutions.
Hind Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Pensions Sector at GPSSA, stated, "This training course is part of the GCC's broader effort to develop the skills of employees in the pension and social security sector, equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to improve their work environments and deliver high-quality services to stakeholders."
She also noted that such initiatives benefit citizens and customers, reflecting the region’s ongoing commitment to improving and evolving services in the pension and social security sector.
The first two days of the course will feature a session titled "Future Skills and Professional Talent," delivered by Emirati expert Dr. Salem Al Salem, who specializes in HR development, government performance, and policy design.
The final two days will cover the sessions "Basics and Introduction to Social Insurance" and "Practical Application and Initiative Building – Developing Innovative Methods," led by Mohamed Saqer Al Hammadi, Head of the Pension Operations Department at GPSSA. These sessions will focus on the customer journey in social security and the development of insurance systems tailored to their needs.
Sharifa Mohamed Alblooshi, Head of the Customer Happiness Department at GPSSA, will lead a session titled "The Journey to Excellence in Customer Happiness," highlighting best practices in customer service and showcasing the UAE's leading model in this area.
