emirates7 - The United Arab Emirates announced the successful completion of a new prisoner exchange between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, involving 292 detainees — 146 from each side. With this, the total number of captives exchanged through UAE-brokered efforts has reached 4,641.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) thanked both countries for their cooperation, noting that this reflects their trust in the UAE and recognition of its role in advancing initiatives to help resolve the Russia-Ukraine crisis.

The Ministry underlined that the success of this seventeenth exchange underscores the strong relations the UAE maintains with both nations. It also reaffirmed the UAE’s ongoing commitment to supporting all initiatives that aim to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict and ease its humanitarian impact.
