emirates7 - The first session of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held on Friday, 28 February 2025, in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting was co-led by Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs of the UAE, and Majid Takht Ravanchi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs. Both sides welcomed this inaugural round of discussions, emphasizing its significance as a platform for addressing various matters of mutual interest.

Also present at the consultations were Saif Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Iran, and Reza Ameri, Iran’s Ambassador to the UAE, along with senior officials from both countries.
