emirates7 - Fans of Wednesday have reason to be excited as Netflix has released a behind-the-scenes look at the highly anticipated second season of the popular series.
Jenna Ortega returns in her role as the eerie Wednesday Addams, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, the new season promises to be "bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine."
Netflix revealed the sneak peek during a fan event in Atlanta on Thursday. The video features Ortega along with other original cast members such as Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzman, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Additionally, fans were delighted to see Thing, played by Victor Dorobantu, back at Nevermore Academy.
The clip showcases scenes like Wednesday arriving at Nevermore with her signature serious expression, students gathered in a field, and Thing sneaking around the set. Tim Burton, the renowned director, was also seen working on set.
"If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed and I'm not that generous," Ortega joked at the end of the video.
Filming for the second season began in May in Ireland. The show, created by Al Gough and Miles Millar, has added new cast members, including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor.
Earlier this year, Ortega expressed satisfaction with the scripts for season two, especially after facing criticism for her comments regarding the writing in season one. She teased that the upcoming season will have "a little more horror" and "a lot more action." She also mentioned that each episode "feels like a movie," although Wednesday’s character will "never really change."
Netflix has yet to announce the release date for season two of Wednesday.
