emirates7 - ADNOC Logistics and Services (ADNOC L&S) announced today the launch of the GCC’s first AI-powered Smart Port Solution, designed to enhance efficiency in petroleum port operations.
The system, developed by Innovez One — a global leader in port management information systems (PMIS) — streamlines resource allocation and provides real-time tracking of marine activities. This boosts operational performance, lowers costs, and supports sustainability across ADNOC L&S petroleum ports in the UAE.
The AI solution significantly reduces vessel turnaround time by up to 90%, cutting service sourcing from three hours to just 45 seconds. By saving around 3,000 hours annually, ADNOC L&S expects to achieve $950,000 (AED 3.5 million) in cost savings by 2028. It also improves jetty utilisation by 20% and enhances overall port efficiency, with vessel management projected to improve by 10%.
Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi, CEO of ADNOC L&S, said: “Implementing the smart port solution across our UAE petroleum ports reflects our commitment to leveraging AI and investing in innovation to maximise efficiency and greater value for our business and customers.”
The solution has already been deployed at key petroleum hubs, including Das, Zirku, Mubaraz, Ruwais, and Jebel Dhana, further solidifying ADNOC L&S’s leadership in digital transformation.
David Yeo, CEO of Innovez One, highlighted: “Our partnership with ADNOC L&S demonstrates the transformative role of AI in global energy logistics. By optimising operations, we’re improving efficiency while advancing ADNOC L&S’s sustainability ambitions, positioning the UAE’s petroleum ports as a benchmark for smart operations worldwide.”
The rollout of this advanced AI technology reinforces ADNOC L&S’s strategy of driving operational excellence, long-term sustainability, and growth within the energy logistics sector.
