emirates7 - Motorists across the UAE are advised to drive with extra care today as the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued yellow and red alerts due to foggy conditions. Thick fog is expected in parts of Abu Dhabi until 8:30 a.m.
Early this morning, dense fog was reported over Al Dhafra and Arjan in Abu Dhabi.
In a post on X, Abu Dhabi Police urged drivers to remain cautious on the roads, highlighting the risks of low visibility. They reminded motorists to adhere to the variable speed limits shown on electronic boards to ensure safety.
According to the NCM, today’s weather will be partly cloudy, with clouds forming in the eastern and southern areas. By afternoon, convective cloud development over mountainous regions could bring rainfall.
AccuWeather data shows that Dubai is currently experiencing 36.1°C with a RealFeel of 40°C, while Abu Dhabi records 32.8°C with a RealFeel of 42.2°C.
Temperatures in coastal areas are expected to range between 37°C and 44°C, while inland areas could reach 43°C to 49°C. Mountainous regions will remain cooler, with highs of 31°C to 36°C. Humidity along the coast may reach 70% to 90%.
The Met Office also noted the possibility of low cloud formation across different areas, with light rain possible in some locations.
Winds are forecast at 10–25 km/h, occasionally picking up to 35 km/h, which may stir up dust and sand, further reducing visibility. Motorists are advised to be vigilant under these conditions.
People with allergies should also take precautions when spending time outdoors. Meanwhile, sea conditions will remain calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
