Indian businesses top list of nationalities of new companies joining Dubai Chamber of Commerce in H1

emirates7 - The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, reported that Indian-owned companies continued to lead the list of new non-UAE businesses joining the chamber in the first half of 2025.

During the six-month period, 9,038 Indian companies became members, reflecting a 14.9 percent year-on-year (YoY) increase. Pakistan ranked second with 4,281 new companies, up 8.1 percent from the same period in 2024, while Egypt came third with 2,540 new members, marking 8.3 percent growth.

Bangladeshi businesses recorded the fastest growth rate at 37.5 percent, with 1,541 companies joining, securing fourth place. The United Kingdom followed in fifth with 1,385 new firms, an 11.1 percent YoY rise.

Syria ranked sixth with 945 new members, while China came seventh with 772, growing 3.8 percent. Jordan was eighth with 688 companies (2.4 percent growth), Türkiye ninth with 642 (3.9 percent growth), and Canada tenth with 535 new businesses.

Looking at sectors, Wholesale and Retail Trade, along with Real Estate, Renting, and Business Services, dominated, each making up 35 percent of new registrations. The Construction sector followed at 17.3 percent, while both Transport, Storage & Communications and Social & Personal Services accounted for 7.6 percent each of the new memberships.
