Avneet Kaur finally reacts to Virat Kohli's infamous 'like' on her photo

emirates7 - Back in May, Avneet Kaur unexpectedly went viral after cricketer Virat Kohli “liked” one of her Instagram pictures. Social media erupted, sparking a wave of trolling so intense that Kohli himself had to step in and issue a clarification about the accidental interaction.

Months later, Kaur has finally broken her silence—though in her own witty way. At the trailer launch of her upcoming film Love in Vietnam, a reporter hinted at the episode by asking: “You receive so much love from big celebrities—some even follow you or like your photos. What do you have to say about that?” Without hesitation, Kaur replied with a smile: “Milta rahe pyar, bas. Aur kya bolu main?” (I hope the love keeps coming, what else can I say?).

The controversy, surprisingly, worked in her favor. Kaur is said to have gained over a million new followers and secured several brand endorsements after the buzz. Kohli, 36, had meanwhile explained at the time: “While clearing my feed, it seems the algorithm mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request people not to make unnecessary assumptions. Thank you for your understanding.”

While Kaur had chosen to stay quiet on his clarification then, she seems to be taking it all in stride now.

Avneet’s career began with Dance India Dance Li’l Masters, after which she shifted into acting with shows like Meri Maa and Chandra Nandini. She has also proven her range on reality programs including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Kitchen Champion. Her big-screen journey started with Mardaani (2014), and most recently, she played the lead opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Tiku Weds Sheru (2023).
