Abu Dhabi Judicial Department processes 447,000 electronic requests in H1 2026

emirates7 - The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) processed approximately 447,603 electronic requests during the first half of 2026, underscoring its sustained efforts to meet customers’ needs in accordance with the highest standards of quality, speed and accuracy.

The Department’s half-year performance indicators report showed that 317,266 remote hearings were held, up 6.25 percent, reflecting the growing use of digital technologies to streamline litigation procedures and enhance the flexibility of judicial services in line with international best practices.

The report also showed that smart solutions continued to improve the efficiency of enforcement procedures, with 11,233 enforcement orders automatically cancelled through the digital system. The system allows enforcement decisions linked to payments to be cancelled immediately, electronically approved, and relevant entities notified without human intervention, helping accelerate procedures, improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

Digital authentications also continued to record rapid growth, reaching 1,365,499 during H1. This demonstrates the Department’s success in developing its digital ecosystem and accommodating the continued growth in transaction volumes.

In alternative dispute resolution, the Department completed 5,690 cases through mediation and conciliation, an increase of 15 percent, reflecting the growing reliance on amicable means of resolving disputes efficiently and effectively.

The Department also conducted 6,126 family sessions and provided 314 online legal consultations, in addition to implementing 13,622 child visitation orders. These services contribute to protecting family ties and supporting family stability as a fundamental pillar of society.

In judicial and notarial services, the Department completed 44,531 transactions through public notaries, more than 11,000 transactions through private notaries, and 29,827 attestation transactions, reflecting the judicial services ecosystem's capacity to handle growing transaction volumes while maintaining quality and speed.
