National Media Office refers social media users to Public Prosecution

emirates7 - The National Media Office has referred several social media users to the Federal Public Prosecution for breaching media content regulations on digital platforms.

The office emphasized that its monitoring team operates continuously to track violations with precision, notify users of infractions, and encourage them to follow the rules to avoid legal consequences.

It explained that these measures are intended to maintain a responsible media landscape and safeguard society from harmful or non-constructive content, urging all users to engage online in accordance with media ethics and values.

Back in March, the National Media Office released a statement stressing the role of social media users in upholding the UAE’s principles of respect, tolerance, and coexistence.

The office also reaffirmed that, in coordination with relevant authorities, it will take legal measures against violators in line with UAE laws, which aim to secure a safe, balanced digital space built on mutual respect.
