emirates7 - The International Aviation Consulting & Training (IACT), the commercial and training subsidiary of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), has reached a significant milestone by attaining Full Membership in the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme.
IACT initially became an Associate Member in 2020 and, in less than five years, successfully advanced to Full Membership—one of its key strategic objectives since its founding in 2016.
This achievement underscores IACT’s commitment to adopting international aviation training standards and fostering excellence in human capital development both within the UAE and globally.
It also reflects the GCAA’s forward-looking vision, the dedication of the IACT team, the consistent support of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Secretariat, and the valuable collaboration of the UAE’s local partners.
Commenting on the achievement, Saif Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the GCAA, said: “Securing Full Membership in the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme is not only an organizational success but also a national accomplishment. It reinforces the UAE’s leadership in aviation safety, training, and innovation, while deepening our strategic cooperation with ICAO. This recognition empowers us to play a greater role in shaping the future of global aviation capacity building, in alignment with our national vision for excellence and leadership.”
