UAE AI Camp concludes seventh edition with over 70 diverse workshops

emirates7 - The seventh edition of the UAE Artificial Intelligence Camp has successfully concluded. The event was organised by the National Programme for Artificial Intelligence in partnership with the National Programme for Coders, aiming to equip a new generation with future-ready skills to thrive in the digital era. Participants were trained to develop and implement AI solutions and leverage technology for innovation, driving progress and sustainability across key sectors.

Running from mid-July to mid-August, the camp featured more than 70 sessions, including interactive workshops—nine of which were virtual—hackathons, challenges, and lectures. It engaged a wide audience, from children and students to young professionals, AI experts, and coding specialists, providing a comprehensive learning experience structured around seven core themes: the future of AI, data science and machine learning, smart applications in education, healthcare, and finance, web and robotics development, AI governance and ethics, cybersecurity, and virtual and augmented reality.

The camp was organised in collaboration with numerous government entities, private organisations, and leading tech companies. Key partners included the AI and Emerging Technologies Working Committee of the GCC, Emirates Global Aluminium, Abu Dhabi Customs, Dubai Police, Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, Dubai Future Labs, Microsoft, Meta, Huawei, Dell Technologies, and many others.

Saqr Binghalib, Executive Director of the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, emphasised that the camp serves as a leading national platform for developing digital skills among the UAE’s youth. It combines theoretical learning with practical application, inspiring young minds, nurturing national talent, and fostering a culture of innovation. He noted that participants gain deeper insights into AI tools and their applications, preparing them to contribute to a smarter, sustainable future. The camp reflects the UAE leadership’s vision that investing in people is the nation’s most valuable investment.

This edition of the camp offered a diverse range of workshops, covering creative AI, the preparedness of government entities for global advancements, AI agents, leadership in emerging technologies, future skills, and AI’s role in environmental protection, sustainability, education, and other strategic sectors. Cybersecurity awareness sessions were conducted for all age groups, including children and parents, addressing both challenges and opportunities. Additional sessions explored emerging technologies, AI security, cybercrime, entrepreneurship, and prompt engineering to enhance productivity and performance.

A major focus of the camp was hands-on AI experiences for young learners. Children worked with intelligent robotic kits equipped with AI sensors and cameras, observing how AI interacts with real-world inputs. They also participated in interactive, educational activities with their parents, such as games and exercises in storytelling, robotics, design, and other AI-related fields, enhancing creativity and equipping them with essential future skills.

Since its inception, the UAE Artificial Intelligence Camp has drawn strong interest and participation from all societal segments. Over 34,000 participants from diverse educational backgrounds attended its events, workshops, and discussions, all designed to advance their skills and keep them at the forefront of technological innovation.
