emirates7 - The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, announced that it supported 308 promising digital startups in establishing and scaling their businesses in Dubai during the first half of 2025. This represents a 39% year-on-year increase compared to the 221 startups supported during the same period in 2024.
Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, emphasized: “We remain dedicated to building a fully integrated digital business ecosystem that equips talent and digital enterprises with the tools for success, while enabling them to expand from Dubai to global markets. Our ongoing initiatives are focused on reinforcing Dubai’s status as a leading hub for digital companies, entrepreneurs, and tech investors through enhanced digital infrastructure, progressive legislation and regulation, and an environment that stimulates innovation and entrepreneurship.”
Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, added: “To advance the growth of technology companies in Dubai, we organized 10 events in the first half of 2025 to foster partnerships and strengthen digital sectors. In addition, 15 international roadshows were held to highlight Dubai’s advanced digital ecosystem and promote the upcoming edition of Expand North Star, the world’s largest gathering for startups and investors.”
Scheduled for October 2025 and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy in collaboration with Dubai World Trade Centre, Expand North Star will convene top startups, innovators, investors, entrepreneurs, and digital pioneers to explore Dubai’s unique growth prospects and contribute to shaping the digital economy of the future.
The roadshows spotlighted Dubai’s competitive advantages and the extensive support available for startups seeking to expand in the emirate. They also featured pitch competitions where winners in each city earned a fully sponsored opportunity to participate in Expand North Star 2025. Additional contests offered startups the chance to secure a place in the Supernova Challenge, the Middle East’s largest startup pitch competition, which will be held as part of the exhibition.
