emirates7 - Data released Monday showed that South Korea’s exports fell 4.3 percent year-on-year in the first 10 days of this month, partly due to weaker shipments to the United States amid a growing tariff dispute.
According to figures from the Korea Customs Service, cited by Yonhap News Agency, outbound shipments totaled US$14.7 billion from the 1st to the 10th of the month, down from $15.4 billion in the same period last year.
Imports declined 13.6 percent to $15.9 billion, leaving a trade deficit of $1.2 billion.
However, despite the overall drop, the daily average export volume rose 9.3 percent over the period.
