emirates7 - More than 100 state-of-the-art robotics products are set to debut at the upcoming 2025 World Robot Conference in Beijing—almost double the number showcased last year—underscoring the event’s growing significance as a global hub for innovation, according to Xinhua.
Scheduled to run from August 8 to 12 in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, also known as Beijing E-Town, this year’s conference will be held under the theme: “Making Robots Smarter, Making Embodied Agents More Intelligent.” The event will feature over 1,500 exhibits presented by more than 200 top robotics companies from across the globe.
Among the highlights are a variety of groundbreaking robots, including agile quadrupeds, emergency rescue bots, inspection units, advanced catheter-shaping robots, and robotic lawn mowers—offering visitors a forward-looking glimpse into the next wave of intelligent technologies.
Humanoid robots will remain a centerpiece attraction, with 50 companies unveiling their latest full-body humanoid robot models.
In 2024, China maintained its leadership in the robotics sector, filing two-thirds of the world's robot-related patents and producing 556,000 industrial robots. Over the past ten years, the number of international partner organizations participating in the conference has risen from 12 to 28, while the count of overseas attendees has surged from just over 10 to more than 80, according to Xu Xiaolan, president of the Chinese Institute of Electronics.
Jointly organized by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the World Robot Cooperation Organization, the 2025 edition is expected to draw a record number of global participants. A dedicated robot consumer festival will also be held alongside the main event to support both industrial transformation and rising consumer interest.
