emirates7 - The World Green Economy Summit (WGES) has officially opened registration for its 11th edition, welcoming climate professionals, experts, and stakeholders to engage in a series of high-level sessions and panel discussions focused on driving innovative and impactful climate solutions.
Held annually under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the summit is organised by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), and the World Green Economy Organisation (WGEO).
WGES 2025 is scheduled for 1–2 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the theme “Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy.” The summit seeks to fast-track the shift toward a low-carbon economy and support the development of a more resilient and sustainable future.
This year’s edition will concentrate on key areas such as the energy transition, climate mitigation and adaptation, climate finance, and innovation. Discussions will be framed around several core pillars: technology and innovation, clean and renewable energy, policy and regulation, financial strategies, climate justice, resilience and adaptation, and the role of youth in climate action.
