Abu Dhabi Judicial Department wins 3rd place at Dubai Dates Festival Awards

emirates7 - The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), through its Correction and Rehabilitation Centres, achieved third place in the Government Entities category at the Dubai Dates Festival Awards 2025.

This accolade was awarded in recognition of the department’s outstanding participation, which successfully blended quality, innovation, and a strong social message—underscoring the integration of rehabilitation efforts with productivity and creativity.

Counselor Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Undersecretary of ADJD, stated that receiving this honour at one of the country’s key heritage events highlights the department’s unwavering dedication to enhancing rehabilitation programs and supporting inmates’ professional and social development.

He also commended the tireless efforts of the teams at the Correction and Rehabilitation Centres for their continued progress in aligning rehabilitation with productive initiatives.

This year’s participation in the Dubai Dates Festival—organised by the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Centre—saw a strong turnout from government bodies, private sector participants, and local farmers. ADJD’s pavilion stood out by showcasing the creative talents of inmates in agriculture, traditional crafts, and heritage-based products.

The display included premium dates cultivated within the correctional facilities, alongside handmade and artistic items that demonstrated the skills inmates have gained through the department’s professional rehabilitation programs.
