emirates7 - Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), held a meeting with Raúl Luis Latorre Martínez, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay, during the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva, Switzerland.

Several FNC members were present at the meeting.

Both parties reaffirmed the strong friendship between the UAE and Paraguay and highlighted their leaderships’ shared commitment to broadening and deepening bilateral cooperation across various sectors, aiming to foster prosperity and mutual benefits for both nations and their citizens.

The conversation emphasized the significance of strengthening joint parliamentary efforts to support sustainable development, acknowledging the increasing importance of parliamentary diplomacy as a crucial tool for fostering cooperation between countries in key and developmental areas.

They also urged for the activation of parliamentary friendship groups between the UAE FNC and the Paraguayan Chamber of Deputies to facilitate information exchange, share legislative expertise, coordinate on common interests, and harmonize stances on issues raised at regional and international parliamentary forums.
