emirates7 - His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has announced a new government appointment.

Mariam Majid Saeed Al Shamsi, who formerly served as Director of the Social Services Department, has been promoted to Chairperson of the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD). This important role also grants her membership on the Sharjah Executive Council, which is instrumental in shaping major decisions within the emirate.

In her new position, Mariam will assume the duties of her predecessor and work closely with various government councils and committees to enhance social services across Sharjah.

Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi issued an Emiri Decree regarding the transfer, promotion, and appointment of the Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs in Sharjah.

According to the decree, Sultan Mohammed bin Mu'adhd bin Saeed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi has been transferred from the Sharjah Department of Human Resources to the Department of Municipal Affairs. He has been promoted to the rank of Chairman under the Sharjah Government Special Jobs System and appointed as the Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs, as well as a member of the Sharjah Executive Council.
