DWTC Hospitality serves over half million guests across 1,401 events in H1 2025

emirates7 - Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) today announced strong H1 2025 results for its Hospitality division, which served over 527,000 guests across 1,401 events. This represents an 11.8 percent year-on-year increase in guests and a 6.7 percent rise in the number of events catered.

This ongoing growth further solidifies DWTC Hospitality’s reputation as a top provider of large-scale and customized catering services in the UAE, known for its operational excellence, culinary innovation, and customer-focused service.

Mahir Abdulkarim Julfar, Executive Vice President at DWTC, stated, “In a fast-changing and competitive environment, our H1 2025 results demonstrate DWTC Hospitality’s adaptability and ambition in redefining the guest experience. Through a blend of operational capacity, culinary creativity, and strategic partnerships, we are proud to support Dubai’s expanding events sector with hospitality offerings that set new standards.”

Exhibition catering saw exceptional growth, serving 132,146 guests at 50 events—more than doubling the number of guests served in H1 2024, a 105 percent increase. This growth highlights DWTC’s expertise in managing increasingly complex and large-scale exhibitions, cementing its position as the leading exhibition catering provider in the region.

The conferences and associations segment also experienced solid growth, with DWTC Hospitality serving 57,289 guests at 30 events, up 23 percent from 46,500 guests in H1 2024. Although the number of events remained stable, the rise in attendees reflects DWTC’s growing popularity as a trusted partner for business events focused on networking and knowledge sharing.

DWTC’s diverse catering portfolio continued to perform well, with Non-exhibition DICEC events increasing by 38 percent to 477 events, and External events growing by 4 percent to 687 events, including major occasions like the Dubai International Boat Show and Meydan Dubai World Cup.

These results demonstrate the division’s ability to deliver smooth, large-scale catering services both within DWTC venues and at external locations.

DWTC Hospitality also earned significant industry recognition at the Emirates Salon Culinaire 2025, winning 51 medals across various categories. For the third year in a row, the team received the prestigious Best Effort by an Individual Establishment award, underscoring DWTC’s leadership in culinary excellence and innovation.

Looking ahead, DWTC Hospitality remains committed to expanding its capabilities and investing in state-of-the-art infrastructure to support future growth. With the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) expansion and rising demand for premium catering, the division is well-positioned to contribute to Dubai’s economic diversification and its status as a global hub for world-class events.

As a comprehensive service provider, DWTC Hospitality delivers end-to-end event solutions—including award-winning catering and full event planning—supporting a wide range of occasions from exhibitions and conferences to private events and weddings, with the capacity to serve up to 40,000 guests daily.
