UAE reaffirms commitment to combating human trafficking

emirates7 - Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice and Chairman of the National Committee for Combatting Human Trafficking, reaffirmed the UAE’s strong dedication to fighting human trafficking, which he described as a grave violation of human dignity.

In a statement on the occasion of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, observed every year on July 30th, Al Nuaimi noted that the UAE is continuously advancing an integrated national digital system grounded in justice, transparency, and the protection of human rights.

He emphasized the country’s emphasis on leveraging modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, to streamline processes and improve coordination among relevant authorities. These initiatives aim to ease the suffering of victims while ensuring that offenders face justice.

Al Nuaimi also highlighted the importance of solid international cooperation to effectively address this global challenge. He reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to enhancing partnerships with other nations and international organizations, as well as sharing expertise and information to a united front against human trafficking.

He concluded by stressing that eradicating this crime is a collective responsibility requiring joint global efforts.
