emirates7 - A convoy of Emirati humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip today through the Rafah border crossing, as part of the UAE’s ongoing “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3” mission to support the Palestinian people.
The convoy included 38 trucks—18 carrying food, medical supplies, and infant formula, and 20 transporting pipes, tanks, and equipment needed to operate a new water pipeline. The planned 7-kilometre pipeline will link the UAE-established desalination plant in Egypt to displacement areas between Rafah and Khan Younis, with a capacity of 2 million gallons per day.
A previous convoy of 25 trucks had entered the day before, carrying water pipes and other vital equipment for the project. This brings the total number of trucks involved in the water infrastructure delivery to 45, with all required materials now on site and preparations for construction underway.
In parallel with land-based aid deliveries through Rafah, the UAE also resumed its “Birds of Goodness” airmissions yesterday. These efforts underscore the UAE’s continued dedication to easing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people.
