emirates7 - Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) announced today that it has signed a purchase agreement with United Airlines for 10 new Boeing 737-9 aircraft, which will be delivered between August 2025 and February 2026 under long-term lease arrangements.
Firoz Tarapore, Chief Executive Officer of DAE, stated, “This latest purchase-leaseback deal for 10 Boeing 737-9 aircraft builds on our recent acquisition of an Airbus A321neo leased to United and underscores our ongoing commitment to the North American market. We extend our congratulations to United on their continued achievements and look forward to deepening our collaboration in the future.”
The 737-9 is part of Boeing’s 737 MAX family, known for greater efficiency, reduced environmental impact, and improved passenger experience in the single-aisle aircraft segment. Compared to the older aircraft it replaces, the 737 MAX family offers a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and emissions.
DAE currently owns, manages, or has committed to a fleet of 750 aircraft, including 225 from Boeing, and aims to further expand its portfolio in response to increasing market demand.
