emirates7 - The Ministry of Education (MoE) has launched the 2025 edition of its Summer Abroad Programme, selecting 270 outstanding Grade 10 and 11 students from public schools to attend top-tier universities and research centres around the world.
The initiative aligns with the MoE’s commitment to preparing future generations with the skills and expertise needed to contribute to national progress, while enriching their academic experiences through access to prestigious international institutions.
Running through July and August, the programme provides students with advanced global training and learning opportunities aimed at expanding their perspectives, strengthening their academic and personal capabilities, and deepening their understanding in key areas such as artificial intelligence, leadership, and entrepreneurship. It also supports students in making informed career decisions, building international networks, and gaining long-term skills vital for success in education and innovation.
Minister of Education Sarah Al Amiri highlighted that the Summer Abroad Programme offers students immersive training at renowned scientific institutions abroad, promoting academic advancement, personal growth, and broader cultural and scientific insight.
This year’s programme includes educational field visits and specialised training across six major innovation centres: Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and Malaysia. It is guided by 29 experienced academic supervisors, and for the first time, it includes students of determination from Japan and South Korea.
