AD Ports Group expands network of international offices with first office in China

emirates7 - AD Ports Group, a key global player in trade, logistics, and industry, has officially inaugurated its first international office in China, marking a significant step forward in the Group’s global growth strategy.

Situated at the heart of China’s policy and planning landscape, the new office will steer and coordinate AD Ports Group’s commercial and investment efforts across China and the wider Asia region.

This office adds to the Group’s extensive global network of over 140 locations and was inaugurated by senior officials including Samir Chaturvedi, Chief International Business Officer of AD Ports Group and CEO of Noatum Logistics; Abdulaziz Zayed Al-Shamsi, Regional CEO of AD Ports Group; and Ellie Hioe, General Manager of Noatum Logistics – Greater China.

The Beijing-based office will allow the Group to deepen engagement with government bodies, strategic partners, clients, and investors in China. It will also support alignment with China’s national development strategies and enhance the Group’s responsiveness to emerging trade and logistics opportunities.

In tandem, Noatum Logistics will operate a new commercial branch from the same office, focused on the Beijing-Tianjin area—an important market with a combined population of over 110 million people.

The office is expected to be central in strengthening AD Ports Group’s footprint in China and along the Belt and Road Initiative, which spans maritime and overland trade routes connecting Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

It will also serve as a strategic hub to connect Chinese clients and investors with AD Ports Group’s global logistics and trade ecosystem, while facilitating new business opportunities, investment partnerships, and capital inflow from China to the UAE.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, stated: “As the world’s top exporter and a key supply chain influencer, China is redefining the landscape of global trade. AD Ports Group shares China’s ambition for deeper cross-border connectivity. Through our Beijing office, we are committed to working with our Chinese partners to expand trade corridors and deliver advanced logistics, infrastructure, and shipping solutions. This collaboration will boost mutual investments and generate long-term value for our clients, stakeholders, and communities—building a more connected and resilient future.”

As part of its expansion strategy in China, AD Ports Group will grow Noatum Logistics’ local capabilities, offering comprehensive end-to-end logistics services tailored to the fast-growing Chinese domestic market, whose GDP is projected to grow at a 3.5% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) through 2030.

With China’s logistics market expected to expand at a 4.6% CAGR by 2030, AD Ports Group aims to establish itself as a key logistics provider serving China’s major industries across the entire supply chain.
