Abu Dhabi landmarks light up to mark 20 years of Abu Dhabi Awards

emirates7 - Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Awards has officially opened nominations for its 12th edition.

This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the initiative, celebrating two decades of recognizing individuals who have selflessly contributed to improving the UAE community.

To commemorate this milestone, nine prominent landmarks across Abu Dhabi—including ADGM, Mubadala Tower, Al Ain City Municipality, Al Dhafra Region Municipality, Khalifa University, Capital Gate, and W Hotel Abu Dhabi—were illuminated in yellow on Tuesday evening as a tribute to the inspiring individuals whose dedication, sincerity, and selflessness have made a difference.

For its 12th edition, the Abu Dhabi Awards invites people from across the Emirates and around the world to participate by nominating individuals whose acts of kindness are positively impacting the UAE community, regardless of their age, profession, or nationality. Nominations can be submitted year-round via the Awards’ digital platform.

Since its inception in 2005, the Abu Dhabi Awards has recognized 100 recipients from 18 different nationalities for their remarkable and influential contributions across various fields.
