emirates7 - The UAE has officially unveiled the logo and theme for the 28th Universal Postal Congress – Dubai 2025. Organised by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), the UN’s specialised agency for the postal sector, the Congress is held every four years to shape future strategies and establish new international postal regulations.
Emirates Post Group Company, which represents the UAE within the UPU, is leading the preparations for the Congress, scheduled to take place in Dubai from 8 to 19 September 2025. The event will be held under the theme “Leading the Change, Creating the Future.”
The logo and theme were revealed during a formal reception in Bern, Switzerland, attended by Dr. Hissa Abdulla Ahmed Al-Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to Switzerland, UPU Director-General Masahiko Metoki, senior UPU officials, delegates from member countries, and dignitaries from both the UAE and Switzerland.
The reception, co-hosted by the Organising Committee of the 28th Congress and the UPU, brought together stakeholders to share updates on preparations, strategic insights, and organisational plans for the event, reinforcing the UAE’s dedication to delivering a world-class gathering in line with international benchmarks.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Organising Committee, highlighted that hosting the Congress reflects global confidence in the UAE’s leadership in the postal and logistics field and its important role in enhancing international connectivity.
He added that the Congress aims to empower global decision-makers to reshape the future of the postal and logistics sectors through international collaboration, technological innovation, and the adoption of agile, sustainable business models aligned with the digital age.
The theme “Leading the Change, Creating the Future” underscores the UPU’s crucial role in guiding the global postal sector’s evolution, honouring its legacy in cross-border communication while embracing transformation through digitisation, innovation, and sustainability.
The newly revealed logo features a falcon, symbolising strength, reliability, and vision, alongside a stylised gateway that represents openness to progress and the sector’s expanding role in global connectivity.
Together, the theme and logo embody a shared commitment to progress, regulatory reform, inclusive international cooperation, and a renewed dedication to the multilateral values upheld by the UPU as a UN entity.
The Congress’s forward-looking agenda is also aligned with the UAE’s national strategy, ‘We the UAE 2031’, which seeks to position the country as a global hub for the digital economy and smart services, while enhancing its influence within international institutions and global events.
