emirates7 - A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck Chile's San Antonio province on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).
The tremor occurred 47 kilometers from the Colchane area at a depth of 121.1 kilometers, the USGS reported.
There were no reports of injuries or property damage.
Chile is especially vulnerable to earthquakes because of its position along the Pacific Ring of Fire. In 2010, a powerful 8.8-magnitude quake followed by a tsunami hit central and southern parts of the country, resulting in approximately 500 fatalities.
