'AI for All' competition launched in Nanning, S China's Guangxi

emirates7 - The “AI for All: China-ASEAN” competition officially kicked off on July 19, 2025, in Nanning, located in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Running from July through November, the event adopts the theme “AI Guangxi, AI China, AI ASEAN.”

Open to all participants—ranging from top domestic and international companies to research teams, university students, and independent developers—the competition imposes no entry restrictions. It aims to tap into a wide range of AI application scenarios, promote the growth of new AI-driven enterprises targeting the ASEAN region, advance the integration of AI with real-world industries, and transform technological advancements into productive economic forces across sectors.

As reported by People’s Daily Online, the event is structured around three main categories: the "Scenario Breakthrough" Application Innovation Contest, the "Champion's Challenge" Industry Challenge Contest, and the "AI for All" Mass Innovation Contest. In addition, it features dedicated tracks in 17 key areas, including AI-powered automotive technologies, global talent recruitment, cross-border e-commerce, smart cultural tourism, and intelligent agriculture.

The overarching goal of the competition is to foster innovative, scalable, and impactful AI solutions that are human-centric and serve the broader public good.
