emirates7 - The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued orange and yellow fog alerts for several areas in the UAE today.
Fog was observed this morning in Madinat Zayed within the Al Dhafra region, while yellow-level fog warnings were in effect for the Habshan and Liwa areas.
In response, Abu Dhabi Police released a warning on X, urging drivers to be cautious due to reduced visibility caused by the fog. Motorists are advised to adhere to updated speed limits shown on electronic signs.
The NCM also predicts possible rainfall in the Eastern and Southern parts of the country today due to the formation of convective clouds.
Humidity is expected to increase tonight and into the morning of Monday, July 21, particularly over some western coastal and inland areas, with a chance of fog or mist forming.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 40°C and 45°C, though the high humidity—estimated between 70% and 90%—may make it feel hotter. Nighttime lows are expected to range from 28°C to 33°C.
Winds will be light to moderate, with stronger gusts expected during the day, possibly reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h and causing blowing dust. Residents are advised to remain cautious.
