Abu Dhabi Hazardous Materials Management Centre launches 2025-27 strategy

emirates7 - The Abu Dhabi Hazardous Materials Management Centre (ADHMMC) has unveiled its Strategic Plan for 2025–2027, marking a major milestone in alignment with the Abu Dhabi Government's directives and leadership vision. The strategy is designed to enhance the emirate’s hazardous materials management system and reinforce public and environmental safety.

This forward-looking plan aims to elevate the centre’s role by establishing a comprehensive framework to regulate, monitor, and oversee all aspects of hazardous materials handling. It emphasizes compliance through innovative, technology-driven solutions developed in collaboration with strategic partners, all within a supportive and investment-friendly environment.

The strategy focuses on four main objectives: achieving integrated hazardous materials management, building institutional capacity, boosting operational readiness, and refining legislative and regulatory frameworks. These pillars aim to modernize laws and policies to ensure robust governance and full regulatory adherence at every stage of hazardous materials handling.

Guided by core values such as professionalism, integrity, excellence, integration, and proactiveness, the centre aims to deliver effective and responsible hazardous materials management.

Commenting on the launch, Lt. General Ahmed Saif bin Zaytoon Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, highlighted the strategy’s importance in strengthening safety systems and supporting Abu Dhabi’s goal of becoming a global model of sustainability and innovation.

Khalfan Abdulla Khalfan Almansoori, Acting Director-General of ADHMMC, described the plan as a roadmap for transformative progress in hazardous materials management. He emphasized that the strategy aligns with the national agenda for sustainable economic and social development.

He added that the centre will integrate advanced technologies, including a unified digital system and centralized databases, supported by proactive monitoring and smart tracking tools. These innovations will improve preparedness and risk management capabilities, aligning with the emirate’s digital transformation goals and enhancing overall operational performance.

With this strategic launch, the centre reaffirms its commitment to international standards and its mission to protect the community and environment, positioning itself as a key player in Abu Dhabi’s sustainable and secure future.
