emirates7 - On Tuesday, Jasem AlBudaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Shahin Abdullayev, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, to discuss the progress of the 2024-2028 Joint Action Plan between the GCC and Azerbaijan.
The meeting, held at the GCC headquarters in Riyadh, was announced in a statement by the GCC General Secretariat.
The discussions focused on the Joint Action Plan, which was approved in November 2023, and seeks to strengthen cooperation and relations in various fields of shared interest, including political coordination, trade, investment opportunities, and energy, among others.
Additionally, both parties reviewed recent regional and international developments.
