Azerbaijan to invest $2 billion in economic sector of Pakistan

emirates7 - Pakistan and Azerbaijan signed a landmark investment agreement worth US$2 billion on Friday, marking a significant boost in economic cooperation between the two nations, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).

The deal was signed by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, in the presence of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. The agreement reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to invest US$2 billion in Pakistan’s economic sector.

This development followed a cordial meeting between Prime Minister Sharif and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Khankandi, and it is seen as a historic advancement in bilateral investment and trade relations.

APP reported that the agreement will serve as a major milestone in strengthening the brotherly ties and economic partnership between the two countries. Both sides also committed to enhancing cooperation through future exchanges in multiple sectors.
