emirates7 - The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) have announced that the upcoming NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2025 presented by ADQ will be broadcast live across the UAE, the Middle East, and more than 200 countries and territories via television, digital platforms, and social media.
The games will feature the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers playing two preseason matchups at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, scheduled for Thursday, 2 October, and Saturday, 4 October.
These games are part of a multi-year partnership between DCT Abu Dhabi and the NBA, which includes not only the NBA Global Games preseason events but also youth development initiatives—reaching nearly 20,000 young people since 2022—fan engagement events with NBA and WNBA players, an NBA 2K League exhibition, and NBA Cares programs promoting health, wellness, and sustainability.
The Knicks' roster includes two-time NBA All-Star Jalen Brunson, five-time All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns, and 2022 NBA All-Defensive First Team selection Mikal Bridges. The 76ers lineup features 2023 Kia NBA MVP and seven-time All-Star Joel Embiid, nine-time All-Star Paul George, and 2024 All-Star Tyrese Maxey.
