Abdullah bin Zayed meets Canadian Minister of Industry in Ottawa

emirates7 - H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with Mélanie Joly, Canada’s Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Economic Development for Quebec Regions, as part of his official visit to Canada.

The discussions focused on the strong ties between the UAE and Canada, with both sides exploring avenues to deepen cooperation in ways that promote shared interests and contribute to the prosperity and development of both nations.

They examined potential collaboration in several key sectors, including industry, trade, investment, technology, and renewable energy.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the significance of enhancing joint efforts in the industrial sector, citing the robust UAE–Canada relationship and the sector’s wide-ranging opportunities that support both countries' goals for sustainable economic growth.

The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade; Sultan Al Mansoori, Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; and Abdulrahman Ali Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Canada.
