Abdullah bin Zayed meets Mexican Foreign Secretary in Mexico City

emirates7 - His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, began his official visit to Mexico with a meeting in Mexico City with Juan Ramón de la Fuente, Mexico’s Secretary of Foreign Affairs.

During their talks, the two officials reviewed the strong bilateral ties between the UAE and Mexico and discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation in line with the shared development goals of both nations. Their discussions focused on potential collaboration across key sectors such as the economy, investment, and energy.

Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the UAE’s dedication to fostering a solid and prosperous partnership with Mexico, aligned with both countries’ development strategies and their mutual ambitions for sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and global developments, as well as efforts to enhance international peace and security.

The meeting was attended by several senior UAE officials, including Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs; and Salem Rashed Alowais, the UAE Ambassador to Mexico.
