UAE, Serbian Presidents discuss strengthening bilateral ties

emirates7 - His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, met today in Abu Dhabi with His Excellency Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia, to discuss ways to deepen bilateral relations.

At Qasr Al Watan, His Highness warmly welcomed President Vučić, who is on an official working visit to the UAE, expressing optimism that the visit would help advance the ongoing growth of cooperation between the two nations.

The two leaders reviewed various areas of UAE-Serbia collaboration and explored opportunities to enhance partnerships, especially in sectors such as the economy, investment, development, renewable energy, food security, and other vital fields that drive growth and prosperity for both countries.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and President Vučić also exchanged perspectives on several regional and international issues of shared interest, focusing notably on recent developments in the Middle East.

They stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to restore security and stability in the region, encourage dialogue and diplomatic solutions, and support peace, stability, and development at both regional and global levels.

At the end of their meeting, both sides reaffirmed their dedication to further strengthening UAE-Serbia ties and building sustainable economic partnerships aligned with development priorities and the aspirations of both peoples. This commitment supports the goals of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which took effect in May 2025 and aims to increase trade and stimulate economic growth between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office; Ahmed Al Menhali, UAE Ambassador to Serbia; Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills Abu Dhabi’s Board of Directors; along with the delegation accompanying President Vučić.

President Vučić arrived in the UAE last night for his working visit.
