SpaceX launch from California sends 26 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit

emirates7 - On June 16, SpaceX successfully launched 26 additional Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit, continuing the expansion of its global broadband internet network.

The Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Space Launch Complex 4 East at California’s Vandenberg Space Force Base. This launch, part of the Group 15-9 mission, marked the third flight for the rocket booster.

Roughly eight minutes after liftoff, the satellites reached orbit, with final deployment taking place after a second stage burn nearly an hour into the mission. The launch also featured a successful landing of the Falcon 9’s first stage on a droneship stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
